The Lunar Ranger Orbiter did indeed release some
images today, but they were just shadows on the moon. These images of Mars geography from
Pruned are much cooler:


The maps are from USGS Astrogeology Research Program who also make great things like globes of
Mars and
Venus which you can construct.
