Discovering the Higgs Boson

LINDAU, Germany — Tommrrow CERN will make an announcement, likely about the Higgs boson. The Higgs boson is a key part of the standard model of physics and this is a rather exciting discovery.     With a 2.9 sigma, the excess observed in the distribution is not a discover
